LEE BLINDS

Since 1987, I would rather explain my price than apologize for my quality. Our free in-home estimate can help you make the best decision for your window coverings and still let you have a fair price for great product and you can do one window or a house full of windows. Is it time to remodel some of your window coverings?

Hunter Douglas 'Ettes & Wood Blinds
Problem: Living close to your neighbors can deprive you of privacy. Hunter Douglas Duette Duolite Shades can give you diffused light and daytime privacy, while the opaque or semi-opaque material gives you privacy at night.

Problem: Big glass can bring big sun. Silhouette shadings filter the light while lessening the glare and the UV rays, while still maintaining your view. Silhouette Shadings can be fully retracted to give an unobstructed view, also.

Problem: Trees cut down and the room is incredibly hot now and the family has enjoyed having the windows wide open until now. (The Duette Shades are already installed in this photo. Hardly noticeable at the top of each window.)
Solution: Hunter Douglas Duette Architella honeycomb shades with retractable cording. Down when you need them. Up when you don't.
Problem: Big sun in the wintertime. Three blinds were required to cover the glass. (The Silhouette is fully retracted at the top of the window.)
Solution: One single 120" Hunter Douglas Silhouette Shading that can be fully retracted for an unobstructed view or opened to allow the diffused view, but lessen the heat of the winter sun.

Problem: Did not want anything on the door, but the afternoon sun was causing problems.
Solution: Installing a Duette honeycomb shade that could lower when the need arose, but would be discretely installed at the top of the door.

Problem: Wanted privacy at night but would prefer nothing to be on the door. The stained door was next to the white trim and the white wood blinds.
Solution: A Duette Architella honeycomb shade in a color that blends with the stain color and the shade has retractable cording so that a pool of cord does not exist when the shade is raised.
Eyebrow paladium windows
Eyebrow windows require creative covering, outside mount total coverage, or solid top or eyebrow shutters.

Eyebrows are tricky windows.  Shutters, sometime, seem to be the cure-all for eyebrow windows. Shutters can follow the curve of the window while most other window products are required to be rectangular.

The curve of an eyebrow is, oftentimes, left open because that becomes the simplest thing to do and does not limit you to a particular product.  If you don't want openings above your window coverings or if you don't want choice limitations, then keep your windows rectangular if you are given that choice.

Check out our page of shutter photos for examples of attractive shutter options for eyebrow windows.

Problem was that the customer didn't much care for the wood blinds on the front of the house and the fact that the sun came in the open arch.
Solution was three O'Hair Shutter Panels with a sunburst style arch with framing around the perimeter of the window for a finished look.
Hunter Douglas Vignette
Vignettes are like Roman shades except that they can be completely stored into their canister headrail so that, upon your choosing, you can enjoy practically 100% of your view when you are not wanting to enjoy the view of the beautiful fabrics available with the Vignette.

Some Things to Consider

It would be nice to say that there is one perfect window product, but it would not be a completely true statement.  Some people want the same product throughout the entire house, but sometimes different windows with different views can require or allow different products which do different tricks.  Some windows offer views of brick walls, while some windows offer views of beautiful lakes.  Some windows face the afternoon sun for what is and what seems like hours, while some windows only need privacy at night.  Some rooms require darkness, while some rooms demand light.  Some people like to look out clear windows with no obstruction whatsoever, while some people like to look through louvers, whether they be a wood blind or a shutter, knowing that other folks cannot see straight into their rooms. Some people need remote control options for high windows or inaccessible windows behind tubs or way behind kitchen sinks.

All types of blinds have pros and cons.  It all depends upon your wants and needs.

Your one mistake would be to buy a blind that is not substantially built and you are then forced to, needlessly, buy a new blind in just a few years, when the window covering should last and last. Even worse would being unable to operate the blind and to lose the view, because of personal stubborness to buy a window covering twice.

Hunter Douglas offers a limited lifetime warranty on most of their products.  Well-chosen, as well as well-built products should make for happy customers for the long run.   Lee Blinds is ready, willing, and able to service whatever products that we have sold.
